Where and when can we meet for a Natural Running lesson?

About Us

Our meeting point for Natural Running lessons is by the concrete bench which is inside the track loop, on the side where the grandstand is.

Usually, I am here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, around 12h30-12h45.

To make sure I am there, give me a call or send me an e-mail before.

I love to teach. I teach virology to medical students.

And now I teach Gentle Running for free to all my fellow humans who need to learn a more efficient and less destructive way of running.

My achievements (Sports and Fundraisings)

We have founded a Club, the Tarahumara Spirit.

It is named after the name of this Mexican Indian tribe, whose people are the best and most humble endurance runners on Earth. These guys are the heroes of the book “Born to Run” by Christopher McDougall.

We get inspiration from them for their endurance, humility and simple lifestyle.

And since they are poor and we are rich, we try to raise funds each time we run a big event.

You can join us or donate directly to them, to help the Tarahumara Children Hospital Fund. They badly need our support since they have a very high children mortality rate.

Please, click on the photo to help them. Thank you for your generosity. Please donate!

After a life with little sport and bad habits (such as smoking), I had a spine surgery at the age of 40 to remove a collapsed vertebral disk between L5 and S1. Then, I discovered very high blood pressure (210-110) and I had a heart attack at the age of 44. I also have a broken ankle on the left foot (paragliding accident), and hip arthrosis on the right leg (karate).

With all these ailments (especially the spine and hip), I have no choice but to run correctly.

Now, all pains are gone. With the help of my good doctors and several drugs for the rest of my life (aspirin, beta-blocker, statin, etc), I can have a normal life and with Gentle Running, I keep my muscles and joints in perfect working condition.

Since I also was a sports nerd when I was young (my classmates were fighting NOT to have me in their team), I seized to opportunity to reconcile myself with my body by achieving some deeds I considered impossible before. I ran my first Marathon at the age of 50, and finished my first Olympic Triathlon at the age of 52.

Now, I teach Gentle Running and Living for free in Geneva or everywhere I go (Paris, Chicago, New York, etc)
